We are delighted to host Prof. Zaleha Ismail's presentation from Universiti Teknologi, Malaysia. Prof. Zaleha will discuss how Malaysia, a multi-cultural nation made up of Malays, Chinese, Indians, and other minority groups, serves its residents with diverse ethnic, religious, economic, & cultural principles.


Abstract: Malaysia is a multicultural country comprised of Malays, Chinese, Indians and other minority groups. Not only are her citizens from a diversified ethnicity, but they are also religiously, economically, and culturally different. Education has always played an important mechanism to attain unity and solidarity among the people throughout the country. In this presentation, Prof. Zaleha Ismail will share:


- Some background about Malaysia

- The education system from primary to high secondary schools

- Some challenges in the education system

- Our STEM activities with primary and secondary schools
